ive asked our cert guy and hes scoured the rules and cant see how it violates them and needs certing ..... but like everythgin .. interpritation of the rules plays a BIG part

not better just different ... perhaps get a copy of badnutz letter and give that to your cert man ... see if that brings him into alignment

so any way... do bead locks only lock one side of the tires beads??

External only do one bead.

internal do both 8)

so whats better, can internals be fixed out on trail?

so there is still a posibility that someone as stupid/unlucky as me could pop the inside bead off?? but the internal lockers (ie staun) lock both sides?

i know at least half a dozen guys with internal beadlocks that have had them either spin off, (extreme hard abuse, not club truck trip sort of abuse)or go flat, external beadlocks all the way if budget allows, along with cert, my 2 cents worth, i dont know of anyone who has popped a tyre off with external beadlocks, if there is i would say they wernt put on properly

I have been concerned with the stories around the Staun internals but for a road going truck I think there is more benefits as far as wheel balance and reducing weight. Like Darinz said - " Install them properly and keep the beads clean".

I'll be going with the Stauns
