aftermarth of Woodhill bogs.

Gave it a good wash out with the hose, and put in the green stuff and all good to go, a very successful job for the day.

Mrs, mate, and his brid took his jet boat out to Mana Island for a very quick blat. 8)

Engine conked out on the way there, spent the next 1.5hrs bobing around waiting for our tow. :?

After speaking to the boaties I learnt that they have the same recovery concept as us - ALWAYS lend a hand cos you never know when you youself will get stuck.
They didn't ask for $8k, wouldn't accept gas money I was trying to throw at them and they told me never to get stuck out in the Bay of Plenty - its expensice out there

They did accept a few beers in the cruising club though :D :D

Hi Phraza,

Yeah only the temp gauge went almost to the red, that was comming up the Bombay hills, so mine didn't overheat as such,
it is a job that needed to be done.

It is a bummer that yours is still overheating, but Iam sure you will find a solution on here.

Cheers

Went up to Te Rau Puriri Regional Park as the sole NorWest Member (Embarrasing really, people seem to get stuck in a rut as it were. Woodhill and thats about it. For goodness sake tyr going to other places and talking to other for once. You might get access to a new place :o  ) and joined up with some Auckland and Land-rover guys. Went to Higham Road, so in person all about the fuss there and spoke to the land owners trying to close it, and to the lagoon at Murawai.

Today as a whole we removed 1km of fence. Bloody good weekend.

Except for the bloody hoax call I had at 2:10 in the morning and the tiny tent I had and the fact I forgot half of what I needed.

met some good guys and yea. I will get pics up later. awesome views up there too.

It was great to see to see you there Lincoln. After you left it cranked to around 35ºC at the campsite

This of course is the only really decent photo of Lincoln, and that is because of the backrest :P

Shows the benefit of working with the authorities to gain access to great spots rather than ripping up public spaces. The farm is about 800 acres so we've barely touched the sides.

Organised with the rangers and the farm manager to go back end of April for tree planting and another camp over :) And they're happy for us to tiki tour around the place. Some is real steep too.

Yea it was good to meet you too Allan. (if that isn't yyour name I'm Osrry. I am completely hopless with names   ) another face to a name now.

I can certantly believe 35. It was pretty bloody hot when I was packing up. Funny trip home though. Just kept catching up to Landrover after Landrover.

Or the funnier part was when I first arrived, 3 mins there and a Landrover had its bonnet up already

Oh and thanks for letting me borrow your cooker and bowl and stool. I promise next time I will be more prepared  :D
