looked like a fun day out though - and yes better to push a rock down a hill than jump behind the wheel of a 300hp+ car and going hooning through town - my thoughts on it anyway.

It would definatley not have been funny to see one of them go down with the rock possibly suffering serious injury!
And what about a innocient tramper, walker or hunter in the path of said rock. They would stand no chance against 1/2 a ton of rock baring down apon them from the dense bush!

This behaviour is no joke at all!

Not only have they bought ORE back into the lime light, but it will be seen as all 4x4 enthusiasts are into this sort of behaviour.

Its time for these idiots to grow up!

Ranting cooling off now..............

Well said Pete

then give the a chance to, they are young,

Pete can you tell me that at 16-18 you would not have done similar things?? you would be lieing if you said no.

Ok boys listen here, it was silly thing to do, next time think of what could happen before you do such a thing, example; would you have randomally fired a gun into that bush, no, thendont throw rocks down there either.

done.

Old saying from the Bibbbble, not that I hold with sech things, being an old irreligious bastard with a nasty temper etc etc. BUT!!

"He who is without sin, cast the first stone"

Jeeze, guys, If all MY sins came back at me in one fell swoop, I shudder to think! jail would be the least of MY worries!! angry husbands, irate owners of suddenly dead stock, missing heaps of metal from the roadside! Now THAT was fun!! I have even been know to roll the odd rock too!! How about we let it drop?

Or are you all dead set on carrying this on ad infinitum?

Post scriptum

Lookee here to see what I mean about being young, or in OUR case not actually growing up!!!

The rationale for education over crucifixion:
"When I was a child I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man I put away childish things."

Possibly I would have, but I wont admit to anything incase I incriminate myself. Besides my checquerd past is not in question here, yet.

What I may have done as an idiot, would not have ben put on the video screen for all to see!

I am still and idiot at times, like this one, continuing the debate. It is my right to voice concern as to the actions of others, as it is yours to suggest it is aid to rest.

The simple outcome has been voiced here already, education!

Here endeth my sermon, for now..........
Ok people, move along. Nothing to see here. Thank you, move along.

young people do silly things,

old people complain,

the young ones feel oppressed by the older,

the older know they are wiser because they have been there.

This thread is just the outplay of human existence, people doing what people naturally do best :)

Is it public land? i think its a pitty the video didn't stop half way through, looks like some pretty cool track. but yea those rocks sure were dangerous im sure they'll learn like everyone does.
Sometimes there seams to be a fine line between track building/maintance and pure dangerous destruction i was pleased to see them with spades etc maybe they are far more responsible than we give them credit for, lets face it they were hardly going to film the possible hours of work they put into the track because its boring. Would you be so quick to want to report them etc if they were older guys? or is this just wishful thinking of mine and shit stirring. Only the people concerened could answer i guess.

Saying all that if i was walking/ driving/ hunting in the area and a rock like that came at me there would be trouble.

Just saw the vid, shame it was ruined by the pointless rolling of rocks, but oh well.
Pretty easy to tell who the ORE member is though

keep up the good 4 wheeling mate, don't stress about it, if your mature enough to post up and appoligise on a public site then your mature enough to learn from others comments, what ever you do don't give up its a great hobbie but be aware of saftey factors and potential destruction that might be going on. And by all means if you get any more videos post them up on here 8)

Good on ya mate, well done for sticking your hand up and fronting up 8)

Hopefully you can see what we are trying to do, by keeping access to public areas open for all of us.

Keep the Videos of the 4WD action coming, you know the stuff, the good driving bits :!:

Just be careful if it is DOC land etc as this is where we get into problems, as a rule a permit is required to do any "track maintenence" on these areas. its hard enough keeping tracks open these days. and the less amnmunition we give the greenies / doc etc to use against us the better.

Thanks for owning up.

PS just a suggestion but it may be an idea to pull the vid from youtube or edit certain bits out of it ie the "track maintenence" as its clear to some what track it is.
