Not sure if PM's are working so will post what I sent rotozuk here. Not exactly sure what question was so this should cover it.
Gearbox is a nissan silvia auto early 90s. They are computer controlled. There is a position switch on side of box that sends a signal to trans comp telling it what gear you have selected. Still has a manual valve system for reverse etc but uses solinids for the 1 2 3 and od.
I am running the box without computer and taking signal from switch to switch relays which hen control solinoids instead of the computer doing it.
There are 2 solinoids. A and B for 1st both activate 2nd is A third is neither (factory fault setting so car can be driven if trans comp dies) and OD is B.
I'm not using OD
select 1st signal to 2 relays one for each soloniod
2nd 1 relay to one solinoid
3 rd no signals.
Considering running brake switch to torque converter lock up to assist with engine braking when foot is on brake or. using OD switch on shifter to do same
That s the electrics
The physical is cut the tail shaft off leaving the spline that the park lock sprocket runs on. Had hilux joiner mated to a disc that bolts to park lock sprocket. Custom mated housing for joining the hilux transfer to auto trans ($680). Whole thing ended up with hilux rear output in line with where zuk one was with about 40mm firewall clearance for engine.
Hope that answers any question. If not fire away.
