Did a 2" suspension lift last month and this week I got my 33s on. This weekend I'll make a ramp and try and figure out where and how much I scrap the rear of the front tyres on the guards on full lock, but looking at it now, it seems enevitable. I figure my options are body lift, bash the hell out of the gaurds with a big hammer or shift the diff forward.
Just looking for some advice on what is involved and how much it's likely to set me back. I have seen you can buy premade adapter plates with a pin and offset holes, but given the minimal clearance between the draglink and the rear ubolt, I'm guessing I'd also need a drop drag as the angle would get steeper. Will my front driveshaft reach? I see 4wdbits have a drop drag, but are there cheaper options?
I even toyed with the idea of crossover to avoid needing a drop drag, but I don't know how much would be involved in that.
Moving diff forward?
Re: Moving diff forward?
Hey, have you done a search on here? there were a few good threads kicking around on that stuff.

Re: Moving diff forward?
Hi Daniel,
Yes I had done a few searches on here, and since your reply I have tried some more, but all I seem to be able to bring up is things like "you should go to crossover" or "I moved the diff forward". I can't seem to find anything discussing how either of these are done.
I'm sure they are probably here, but it doesn't help that the search drops hilux and diff from my search keywords for being common words.
Cheers,
Tony

Re: Moving diff forward?
Cheers. I should have been searching for diff relocation! Interesting post, I guess from that I would need a drop drag and a torque arm. Can anyone tell me what the deal is with drop drags - as in can you get adjustable ones or do they come in different fixed lengths or am I over thinking this and it doesn't matter if it's 25mm longer. My guess is not the latter as this would seriously change the geometry of the steering, but I'm very reluctant to fork out $500 for a drag link if I'm not sure I've got it right
