yn60 surf fuel gauge flapping

Hi my fuel gauge flaps once the petrol goes down abit, to fix this would it be just a case of swaping another sender unit in? or could it be something dodgyer? if you turn key off it stops where the true level is.

Normally the fuel gauge in the dash has a damping mechanism to stop that... I'd be more suspicious of the gauge than the sender.

Do you have a spare instrument cluster to try?

Used to had a spares truck , Sold/binned everything when we moved south didnt think id get another surf for a while. its not a major il just get another to swap in.

lol I see what you are angling at. I'll have to consult the wifie first so far this month Ive had a truck and a new rifle so mite be pushing it, I was hoping someone would tell me it was the sender unit so I could tell her i mite as well buy a whole tank with the efi setup in it, so i could start pushing her towards letting me do a 3rz conversion
