i have a 96 mistral parked in my driveway at the mo and just wondering if anyone has struck any or all of theses issues before
1) wipers wont turn off, intermitant works for a minute and then turns itself to the normal speed and you cant turn it of, high speed works normaly, i have clean up contacts on the switch and replaced wiper motor
2) Once motor is warm it idles at 1200rpm, warm up is pushed right in and nothing has been changed and it never used to do it
3) came out the other day and the left hand headlight had turned itself on. ignition was off headlight switch off and right hand headlight was off.
i hate this truck but have to get it fixed and sold for my inlaws, any knowen issues with these issues to speed things up would be great
cheers guys and girls.

check all relays in fusebox for corrosion and check all wiring around engine and under dash for signs i life....i.e a rat or a mouse.

Re: Possessed Mistral
EFI or mechanical fuel pump?
If mechanical, check the throttle lever on pump is back on idle stop screw, it could have the idleup solenoid holding it on.
Or something could be jammed in cable.
Good idea of crash bandicoots- have a real good look for signs of rats been chewing on wiring shorting things out

Look for water damage around the plugs and relays up in the drivers foot well... if yours is anything like mine the drain for the sunroof gutter has blocked or rusts out and dribbles water past the electrics into the drivers foot well
One of these days I'll pull it into the shed and give it the treatment, sort the issue and few others

that could be a good starting point because the sunroof likes to dump a whole heap of water on your head when you back down the drive after rain
