roof racks wanted

Post by Freddy »

I'm still after some roof racks like this:

Image

They attach to the almost hidden rails that run down some R50 roofs. There are 3 metal lugs on each side. Give me a yell if you have got any to sell...or know where I can get them. Went to my local shop and they were useless.

Thanks

There was an accessory shop on the cnr of Montreal and Walker Streets (unsure the name of it) that was where I got my bars from, the same ones you are looking for.
Ok people, move along. Nothing to see here. Thank you, move along.

yeah, Hamco basically said they don't have anything to fit, and could only sell me a gutterless/railless clamp-on system.

I'm after something that actually fits the recessed rails that are already in my roof.

I know they're out there...see the pic up there! ^

Umm. don't mean to burst ya bubble but FIL's has those . but they are not fixed on that strip/gutter that runs down each side of the roof, they have adjustable nylon straps that clip into the door seams under the trim around the edge of the door openings, like alot of ski and snowboard racks. they only(by coincedence rest on the plastic trim/gutter on the roof
Waiter...there is a drought in my glass.

FIL's?

The photo up there was from an auction, and it also had a photo of the attachment feet, they clipped into the recessed rails. NOT a clamp-on system like (I think) you're talking about.

It's not just a plastic rail, there are three metal lugs running down each side, they're supposed to let a certain shaped shoe lock into it, fairly sure.

Hello, I had the same truck some years ago with those rail which I think are called "T" rails. Had a foot pack from Rhino and whisper like bars mounted to them. Hope that helps.
