Re: Recommendations on tracks around Auckland for beginners
Cheers for that! We actually headed up to the Jeep Adventure Park in Woodhill and had a blast (met another ORE member but forgot to ask the name). Didn't get too dirty or too stuck but it was great knowing if we did there would be someone to try pull us out! Glad there was no damage to the car ...

Re: Recommendations on tracks around Auckland for beginners
Haha yup that is the one - certainly looks a lot more 'used' since I was last up there! Looks even more fun! Classic that you did it in rwd! Would have been interesting! Last time I was up there was in a rental hilux (not my idea!), and that first big ditch just about ripped the front bumper off ...

Re: 1998 Mitsubishi Pajero 1.8 - Suitable for 4WD Driving?
Awesome cheers for that! Will be taking for a spin this weekend so will see how it goes. I was having a look at the list of vehicles allowed at the 4WD Adventure Park at Woodhill Forest and the Pajero wasn't listed there however a Rav4 was.. Does anyone know if that's correct or maybe they just left ...

1998 Mitsubishi Pajero 1.8 - Suitable for 4WD Driving?
Hi all, Just brought ourselves a 1998 Mitsi Pajero (It's the IO ZR GDI - not too sure what all that means..). I am looking for opinions as to how suitable this is for off roading, it's a 1.8 so only a baby - certainly not planning on trashing it just yet, nothing extreme, we are only beginners ...

Re: Recommendations on tracks around Auckland for beginners
Joining a club certainly sounds like the right way to go! Thanks for the advice. We were thinking about just going for a drive our Muriwai way (just so we can take it off road ). I remember a few years back I went up South Head Road up past Parakai, there's a gravel road that heads out towards the ...

Awesome - a club definitely sounds like the right way to go!
Any recommendations for where to start first? Not too worried about travel but would be keen to be part of quite a social club.
Cheers

Recommendations on tracks around Auckland for beginners
Hi all, Tried searching for similar posts and couldn't find any (feel free to point me in the direction if I've just missed them ) Just looking for some fairly easy tracks in or around Auckland (besides Woodhill) suitable for beginners. We only have a baby 1.8 Mitsi Pajero but really looking forward ...

Hi all, What a great site! Quick intoduction: My fiance and I have just brought our first 4WD (1998 Mitsi Pajero 1.8 IO - just a baby!). We were hooked after driving the Suzuki Jimny's at 'Off Road NZ' in Rotoroua - looking forward to learning the basic's slowly and upgrading from there. We thought ...
