Thanks or the reply. Suspension does my head in. Tie rod ends definitely need replacing based on their boots but I don't reckon they are making this noise. I tried jacking it up and rocking the wheel and got movement side to side but none up and down so I guess my hubs are ok? I also noticed today ...

Hey Mate, North Shore to Onehunga dam thats a decent hike daily, My wife used to do that when we lived in Auckland and hated it haha.
