2l head onto a 2lte block

Post by Nailz »

can this be done, just out of curiosity......?

Now that i have my cruiser the dead surf is taking up space and my flatmate wants to use it as a runaround for a few months and doesnt care what powerplant its running.

to keep things cheap cheap cheap and the process fast, I was thinking about throwing in either a 2l head onto the existing block or straight putting in a 2l. would this run with the computer thats in there?

I know its going to be gutless as hell but that doesnt matter.

i think so. you would have to use 2l(2) head not the 2l(1) head.
however if i remember correctly they have different valve sizes and different precups, so it would have less power than the 2lt-e. better off finding a 3l head.

you could do a 2l swap but getting the crank sensor setup is a pain (unless you used 2l injection pump and redid throttle cables) and its going to be really slow with the surfs gearing.
