From some old posts Ive heard that Aisin hubs are pretty good and dont break too often.
Just wondering if the hilux/landcruiser ones from the early 80's up to now are the same?
I stole the hubs off the hilux diff on my suzi and put them on my cruiser and they fit fine, they just dont look that strong- the dog collar looks pretty small. The factory landcruiser electric locking hubs looked like they had wider collars from memory (havent actually compared them side by side)
Aisin hubs for landcruiser/hilux: all the same?
Re: Aisin hubs for landcruiser/hilux: all the same?
In case anyone else was wondering, they are all the same.
Spoke to a wrecker who said hilux/landcruiser (but not surf) Aisin hubs have always been the same (except for coarse spline maybe?) and are interchangable, and doesnt believe any of them are stronger or weaker.
he said he's been using them for ages on his v8 lux and never had a problem, but started out with superwinch ones that lasted a week.

the only difference I know of is the IFS ones have a different spline however longfield do a conversion kit to use ifs ones on a solid axel
