Leaking diff oil

Post by Bubba »

I (well I watched) changed my front open diff to a LSD the other day (week), now it has sprung a leak on the drivers side. Anyone got any quick fire idea's about what the issue would be?

Reece, has my warrenty run out yet?

Where is it leaking from?

Pinion, swivel seals, hubs?

The short answer is you've got a leak anyway?

Theres oil seals in the end of the axle tubes where the swivel housings are, you've probably damaged one when the axle was put back in. The seal stops the diff oil flowing into the swivel housing.

Mine leak

$3 seal .... pain in the ass to get out and replace....will be a pinion seal or something ...is it leaking on the big ball thingy? and how bad is it? easier with a full floater axle like yours though.....

Jerry you'll have to put your reading spec's on, its the front diff and its leaking from the swivell housing not the pinion.... I thought we taught you what all these part thingies are

Tail light warrenty Bubba, when I can't see your tail lights the warrenty it's void.

Drivers side you say? Didn't pull the whole axle out of that side.... it was Abbo's fault anyways... he kept handing me beer when I needed a wrench.... bloody Abbo!
