rear disk on prado axle

hey guys my cruiser is running latemodel prado diffs as far as i know i want to get rid of the rear drums and use disks. any advise on calipers to use and disks would be great. if any one has done this conversion please any pointers would be awesome thanx mike

Steve is selling conversion kits on 4wdstuff.co.nz for cruiser and hilux rear brakes. Hes using Maxima callipers that have the handbrake levers lineing up reasonably well with the cable.

Mid 80's Subaru front calipers are popular, they are a single pot caliper with a 53mm piston and have the handbrake levers also :mrgreen:

Have the same in mine, come have a look if you want, pik a part for calipers and a piece of plate, save a fortune

Nop but you are basiclly getting the parts all together if you get them from Steve..or try to find the bits yourself..= same thing..Currently looking at this as well..but funding is a little short and i'm tossing between the maxima and suby caliper..not sure wich will be the better one to use..

yeah seems like the easy option just to get steves ones :roll: if thats all you need my problem is geting time to go parts gathering
