help with holden 202 into hilux

Post by turoa »

I bought a conversion kit to put my injected 202 into my hilux (bellhousing, clutch, flywheel and fork) but there was no spigot bearing included :? :?

so.... what kind of spigot bearing do I need to use? I also have a toyota 5 speed in my ute (one tonner) but Im not pulling it apart to find out what kind of spigot bearing to use 8)

so can anyone tell me what I need?

The hilux is the 3rd vehicle of mine that this motor is going into, its got a bit of sentimental value

You might have to take it to the clutch man to find something to fit

I took all my stuff out to MP Auto parts in UH and the guy there matched up a bearing to fit my carrier and match my pressure plate.

just measure the spigot shaft and measure the diameter where the bearing needs to sit and get your bearing book out .howie should have a bearing book.you might have to turn up a small adapter bush (being metric to imperial) but shouldn,t be to much of a problem for a person of your resources :D .just make sure you use a double sealed bearing (LLU type from memory) :D

yep I mean spigot bearing. I might to to BNT and see if they've got anything tommorow otherwise ill just do all the engine mounts etc this weekend and pull it again to do the bearing.

And yea taz, the motor has been pulled from the landy. I dont want it anymore and its taking up room so its getting sold off into little bits :(

spigot bearing..... you dont need one! well it turns out when they put the 202 into my blizzard they didn't think it needed one..
If you find something that fits.. I'd be interested too. Im picking that Blizzard be similar to hilux, only cos you say you can't find one to suit.. BNT was going to get me new clutch and have it modded to fit bearing..
Dont follow me. i'll get stuck and need a tow..
