Jollopy
Jalopy is a common slang nickname in the English language for an old, decrepit and unreliable automobile which has limited mechanical abilities, and at times can barely move. It does not refer to a well kept antique car, but to cheap cars which are mostly rundown.
When a Jalopy automobile gets to a state in which its maintenance becomes too expensive, its owner would be required to make a decision about its fate. Some owners abandon it in the street, as a parked car, (an action forbidden by law[citation needed]), where it remains until the local authority, in a common procedure, tows it to the junk yard. Other people sell it (or deliver it) to be stripped for spare parts for use in other Jalopys which are still in use.

There's camping available for Saturday night correct??
Are we able to bring a support vehicle to carry our tools, spares, food, jackets and camera's etc between stages? After doing the Extreme park event last year, having a support vehicle would make the event so much more enjoyable!!!!

I have been talking to Brent about the Winch Challenge and he has referred me to you in regard to one particular question.
I would like to know if we can take a support vehicle.
After doing a couple of other Club Class Winch Challenge events, it has highlighted to us that having a support vehicle would greatly enhance the enjoyment of the event.
The reason being, it would mean that we could take a more elaborate tool kit and spares kit than what we are able to carry in the competing vehicle, which is also of benefit to the other competitors in our group, and prevents having to get other competitors to run each other back to the car park to get required items out of their tow vehicles.
It also means we have somewhere to put food and drink and warm clothes, such as wet weather gear etc, which makes the wait between turns to compete in the stages much more enjoyable.
The driver of the support vehicle also has the opportunity to get some great footage of the action on each stage, as they aren’t trekking on foot for half an hour to get between stages and missing half the action.
I don’t know if you are planning to split the field up into two groups, but there’s no reason why our support vehicle couldn’t also take other peoples gear as well.
The support vehicle is a well set up club truck, the driver is a NZ4WDA member through the Waikato Club, and will have the necessary 3rd party insurance.
Your thoughts please!!

Hi Peter You are most welcome to take a support vehicle to the camp site. However that is where it would stay, Due to the fact that the property is a working farm and we have limited control over who is driving support vehicles around, the decision has been made that the the only vehicles that will be allowed to drive around the event are competition vehicles (and even that is controlled) and officials vehicles. As you can imagine the kayos of having another 20 or so support vehicles cruising around the place creating issues I don't need, And if I say yes to one I have to say yes to everybody. As you can appreciate their are some reasonably big issues with liability and I have to air on the side of caution. I also have to keep the property owner happy and he has voiced concerns excessive traffic. With this in mind we have tried too plan the stages so that they are reasonably close together.
