5m into 130 surf question

Post by Smurf »

Does the manual gearbox in a 130 surf take the W58 bellhousing to fit the 5m motor?
If not how have guys fitted 5m's into their 130 model surfs.
thanks in advance

I was hoping to be able to use the R series, if that's what is in it.
Using the R series box and transfer allows me to keep the interior original without chopping and changing.
If not I'll re use my w56,

the only problem with the r series box is the transfer's are a shit load weaker than the w56 ones as the r series are chain driven

look up bellhousing on trademe seen a 7m r15? bellhousing the other day from memory the supra r series 2wd box had a different length input shaft so you may need to run a spacer between box and bellhousing?
hope this helps
