Need help with central locking in my 1998 Hilux

Central locking came in my hilux from factory but has not worked since i brought it. I do not know a lot about electrics and was wondering if there were any things i could do to check myself before spending money at an auto electrician. do anyone have a copy of the Haynes service manual for the 1998 hilux (ln106,ln107)? all of the books i have found are 1989 to 1995 or 1997?
1998 Toyota Hilux Double Cab Ln106 2.8D 5sp, 33" Kumho Kl71s, Safari Snorkel, 2" body lift and still modifying

take the door cards off and check the actuators are still there/work

well go from there :D
