biggest i can find is 2 watt ones. dash is really dim with 3 watt so not keen to go down to 2 watt.

i normally go to pick a part and raid them for those sorts of things

1990 surf 350 chevy jacked up and currently under construction again
Re: dash bulbs
could do but odds are they will be sufering the same problem these are, they start going black after a while so 2nd hand ones might not be much good.
Re: dash bulbs
can you measure the bulb and maybe put a photo up of it?
can see if theres an equivilent in my hella catalogue, can also check the narva one too....

Re: dash bulbs
those are no where bright enough.
http://ledbulbs.co.nz/product_info.php/ ... 82f1c9e199
are brighter but narrow angle so won't work with this setup.
the dash uses only 2 bulbs to back light it and uses a light spreader arrangment. the bulbs don't sit behind the guages at all, but rather off to the side and uses the bulbs sideways light to go into the light spreader.
i know guys have tried some leds and they don't work.
looking at some other leds from AU which fire sideways which might do.
trouble is its hard to match a normal bulb brightness with such a small size.
this dash is dull as it is. 2 bulbs lighting it up ....its not suprising its dull.
i did find a few USA shops selling 3 watt T5 and T3.5 xenon bulbs. at last resort i may have to buy some in from USA.
if i can find a good source there will be a lot of happy D22 owners in NZ and AU
