Its a fairly easy mod to do, just a little bit of mucking around with the steering shaft and extending the low range shifter. Dont cut the radiator shroud, just flip the bottom two brackets and re drill the top holes and it lines up perfect for a 50mm lift.

DO cut all the mounts off the chassis and reweld them further up.
DONT use bodylift blocks

Must be a reason for you writing that Tu's? The ones I have seen seem to still be alright?
SWB V6 Paj with one or two mods

They saw some bs by a retarded yank who had his cab fall off after rolling and think body lifts are crap
Make sure you use a suitable material for the block Vince (ie has good shear resistance) and high tensile bolts with nylocks. Leave the original body washers in there as well.
I have never had an issue with body lift blocks before (4 trucks over 15yrs), and the first one even lasted for a year with timber blocks as the lift medium
For getting your 35" boots on,this is a very simple mod that keeps the COG down and keeps a good road going capability.

Ugly is a state of mind..... and the state of my truck!

Im not saying that cause of the yank pics rok, I only put those up to see what peoples reactions were for a bit of fun. I have seen body mounts crack before because of the extra leverage placed on them.
They are OK for a cheap lift but in my opinion its better to spend the money on suspension (that will actually make your truck more capable) or use the grinder.

Well after following a few trucks around with body lifts and watching them wobble around like a train carriage, I have to agree with 2's. Hence why I went suspension lift only
Growing old is compulsory, growing up is optional

mhm must be a personal preference thing, ive got a surf on 35s with 3.5" body lift,i dont have this wobble thing happening and not cracked mounts.been in there for over a year now and my wheels definetly dont stay on the ground alot when im 4wdn so if they were gona crack id imagine it wouldve happend by now,and as previously said, does keep the COG down and is cheap my 2c
1990 surf 350 chevy jacked up and currently under construction again

50mm lift is pritty safe, its easy to do i just used standerd 8.8 bolts, mines on my hilux, it cost me about $26 bucks for longer bolts ( i get 60% off) and yea just made brackets to lower my ratiator 50mm. A mate of mine has 100mm lift on his cruiser, has a cracked front right body mount because of this, he has talked alot about cutting them down to 50mm as the 100mm is just to big and is too much leverage on the mounts
