release bearing head aches!!!

hey guys
im trying to sort out a release bearing for the hilux project
its a toyota crown 1uzfe with a r151f bolted to a A1turbo bell housing with a custom bnt clutch/ flywheel- thats where it gets messy
basicly cutting costs and looking round for the best deal has backfired and is wasting time!
none of the companys ive delt with want to know about it, fair enough
ive got a ln106 release bearing, extended it 15mm so it had an overall lengh of 50 mm
but it looks ugly and is still too short, ive alltered the pivot point so the bearing inner sleeve is flush with the gearbox input snout
i found a nice looking factory vzn185 (5vz-fe) unit but apparantly they never came into nz so ripco ect cant source one
does any one know of a long type release bearing (around 70mm over all) 35mm ID
W and R serries boxes ect
or even what modle celica has the press in type release bearing

go to a bearing company and have a look thru their catalogues, i am sure i have seen a catalogue that has dimensions on these bearings, failing that get a bearing that has the center id of approx 40mm or larger, and make the sliding sleeve fit the gear box snout, that has a shoulder for the fork to actuate against, and if need be, a insert onto the face of the bearing to get it back to correct size.
OR look at a hydraulic release bearing set up, no fork direct acting. means you can REALLY seal up the bell housing.

Have you tryed out ABC (automotive brake and clutch), the guys there really know their stuff and should be able to sort something out

thanks for the input, ive tried a few bearing suppliers but their not too helpfull
the sleeve over snout sounds like a good idea
ive got a guy on trademe finding the I,D of a ford mondeo hydro release unit- a fully sealed clutch sounds good for those river crossings
ive also send ABC a email
partsmaster in chch have found a 5vzfe release bearing and their about to measure it up, so far theyve been beter to deal with than repco- allthough that isnt hard lol

Do you have a local 'gearbox factory', have found them very helpful and know there stuff. Have had them say thats out of a toyota before I said anything just by looking at a bearing. They seem to have a good stock of parts also. might be another option.

all sorted!!!!
I would recomend ABC brakes to any one
the man took the time to email pages out of his parts book, a couple of days later if got a SAFE working clutch
if anyone has similar problems i ended up using a brg2326 35mm longer than a standard ln106 unit

also i wouldnt bother with a mondeo setup they only have a 30mm inside diameter and arnt that reliable

now its time to mount the slave cylinder, damn hilux ones upside down (mounts and bleed nipple are on the wrong side)

id hardly call it a dog, but yes he'l bring back anything you throw

And if you need to wipe your hands they seem only too happy to oblige.

The wife doesnt seem to think it convienient when they spread grease and dirt from the previously mentioned attention.

Tried blaming the dog for laying in dirt and grease once but she saw me...not good!
