You sure it's a vn? they stopped in 91 i think. If it's a 96 it'll be a vs. You doing manual to manual (manual surf/manual commie)?? If so is much easier. just a few wires to sort out.

Re: yn130 / vn commy eng loom diagrams
have sent you a pm with email engineer, cheers again
and yes tim ,quite right, guy gave me the wrong info, its actually a 94 vr but unfortunatly it is auto so yeh,im more in favour of getting a manual crank and changing over but if its going to be to expensive i know they do a adaptor plate etc but yeh,was gona give auto lab a call and see if they could sus me out with parts, flywheel and what not,one prob with the motor though is the plate that bolts to the back end with the pipe on it for water has had the pipe snap so thats my 1st priority to get one of those cos at the mo i cant run it for longer than it takes to move it round the back yard, you wouldnt happen to haver a spare plate would you?
also am after a commodre manual to suit if anyones got one they could scan for me of let me borrrow and ill scan it etc
cheers

Auto and manual motor the same for vr sou you'll just be able to unbolt flexplate and bolt on new flywheel no probs. Just a couple extra wires to join for the auto loom which i think engineers pics will fix
Mission to find flywheels for them though unfortunately, i tryed to find one because the auto motors were way cheaper than manual. but Try airways panel and paint and ask for paul, he's who i bought my vp manual motor off and had heaps of commies there (wrecks them), just make sure you get the right bits cause i think he may be a bit special told me heaps of things would fit off my vn to vp which they didn't then gave me the wrong loom etc.
Cheers, Tim
