Drum - disc

Post by tangy »

hey all

can you recommend me someone that could do a drum-disc con for my 1983 bj42? if someone on here can do it, what would it cost (parts/labour) i don't mind who does it, long as they know what they are doing :)

Cheers

Jake.

If you only want to do the front its just a boltup conversion using 60 or 70 series hubs, swivel housings callipers etc, if you want to do the back the common callipers are MR2 (rear) or subaru leone (front) callipers that both have handbrake levers, if you've got a pre 1980ish truck you'll have a carden handbrake on the back of the transfercase so the handbrake levers on the callipers wont be so critical, Jafa's making rear brackets for the MR2 stuff and Howat engineering in Wgtn have brackets for Subaru callipers. If you want to do a drive in - drive out conversion go to 4WD Accessories
