Hi All
Need to replace the axle to panhard bushes on the front end of my KZJ71 Prado.
Toyota want $120 for the 2 1/2 bushes (one end)
Nolathane do a kit at $120 for all 4, but most places seem out of stock. I am also not sure that the stiffer plastic is a good idea. No one really seems to be able to tell me which is the correct kit either.
Anyone got any good suggestions as to what to use or part numbers. Also where to buy at the best price.
How well do the nolathane ones last and do they limit travel?
Many Thanks
John

BNT or Ripco stock them and are cheap, Ripco do a double pack and BNT do singles, Stinky can get them for a good price as well..., all the bushes i've had to replace are on the passenger side (on both LJ's) so these seem to wear quicker, will dig mine out and see what the part numbers are......

In Chch, neither BNT nor Ripped very poor C off had them in stock, will be waiting 2 months and both $120.... These were the red plastic ie Nolathane ones.
I think Parts Master might have some but they are even dearer.

Yes keen to hear what the LJ part nos. are Jerry. Do the LJ Panhard rods mount with two half top-hat section bushes at each end?
The Nolathane parts book seems to think the Prados have two differing sorts. A single tapered bush at each end or the two Top-hat style ones that come in from each side.
I have yet to strip my current ones out and have a look, but that is how Mr Toyoda's parts book looks for the KZJ.
The Toyota ones are made of rubber.
Anyone know if this will be better or not than Nolathane in a vehicle that I want to flex as well as it can?
Any idea on what Stinky would charge?

from memory have seen them in both single or split per side, the spare one i have just found is off the drivers side and is a nolethane blue and has 1222 marked on it, the SWB and LWB ones are the same size (have measured on one), the steering arms lool the same length as well (apart from the SWB having the dampner and the LWB not having it). from memory both sides are different bushes.
pretty easy to install, i did mine myself...I just used a socket and a vice to push out the flogged one and the new greased up bush against the panhard in my bench vice and carefully pushed it in, you may need to jack up the passenger side of the diff to get the bolt hole to line up.
pm me your chassis code thingy and year and i'll find out a price for ya
