vzn130 surf offroad?

hey guys was looking at buying a offroad truck, looking at isuzu mus but then i thought i might aswell use the "olds" vzn130 surf just sits there gets used on the farm every so often already got decent tyres has near new sumitumo serengettis if thats how u say it? also some guy said it has the rare auto box whateva that means! oh yeah its auto...but for free basically is it a good option ? would like to jack it up a little any advice on what kit to go with ? seen this one on trade me http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 040913.htm

nice lift what springs and shocks you running and what it set u back ? and how much is the body lift ? you have to get that certed aye ?

the kit (incl torsen bars) is Old man Emu, ran about $1850 for the full kit, body lift was about $200 from one of the guys on here..


And yeah, need to cert the body lift, but if its a offroad only car i`d doubt you`d have problems..

that would be a nice set up! not looking to spend that much but put a bid on some rear raised springs, if i put them in will i need to get new rear shocks?

If its only for offroad and you need to clear guards...

Cut them.

nah still gonna be road legal car also bought some 50mm cobra raised springs for it off trademe brand new for 170 is that an ok price ?

have a look and see what shocks it has, if they are the factory toyotas then they may be to short, if they have been replaced at some stage they will probably be long enough because most aftermarket replacements are 50mm longer. Don't bother replacing the front torsions, just wind them up to suit the rear lift. There is a lot of info on here about them.
