safari - rear protection bar??

hi.

have a swb safari, and am looking at removing the factory rear bumper, and replacing with something stronger.....

anyone done similar??

There is a thread on here about a aftermarket heavy duty rear bar for a terrano. There is a picture posted with what I have done, you may be able to get a few ideas from it.

How urgent do you need pic's??

Next week i am going to drop by a guys place and grab somepic's of what he has done for his rear bar. Seen it before and thought it was pretty cool, might use it to make something similar for mine now my existing one's don't fit any more. 8) 8)

figure if i take the truck to a local engineering outfit with a heap of pics of different options, they'll hopefuly be able to make something to suit...

Hi there, i have an arb factory rear aftermarket bumper for a gq safari
it has 3 recovery points and a slide out towbar, i am in invercargill. looking for $395, you wont get much made for that.
