BUGGER
There goes my plan.
after working out i cant fit the york and keep the a/c.
i thought a truck 12 v compressor would do the job.
looks like ill have to go find a good expensive compressor.

Re: wantin info on truck compressors
What about making something up using a good 12v motor to run a pump. Kevin (Leithfield) used to have a compressor unit that had an electric 12v motor with separate pump and tank. Was fine for running airtools etc.
Ugly is a state of mind..... and the state of my truck!

Re: wantin info on truck compressors
good idea, only problem might be oil supply for the pump and that they will take a huge amount of power to run.
Re: wantin info on truck compressors
At my old work we used to have a mazda titan with a pto driven truck air compressor for air tools an a hydraullic pump for the hiab.
The pto shaft was connected to the hyd pump an the compressor had a pully welded on in place of the original gear which was driven by a belt off the pto shaft. It had an oil supply taken from the vacuum pump on the alt.
Was pretty rough but invaluable when you needed compressed air in the middle of no where
Could be something to look at
