anybody wrecking 60/61 surf?

as above, is anybody wrecking or got a body lying around thats pretty stuffed, that aint worth shit to sell, as im after the 2 pieces of panel at the rear bottom corners below the tail lights, mine are all pushed in and i wont to weld in new corners while im doing other body work, got a rear bar now so wont to tidy up the damage ive done before bar went on

Grind them back to bare and weld a small plate on to them with a hole that will accept a shackle. Then shackle a chain or rope or what ever to the pushed in bit and pull like fark on it in the direction that they were stoved in. If you have a decent slide hammer then use that instead.
You will find that you can get the majority of the ding out this way, and when you have, grind the plate off, bog and sand.

Its worth a shot anyway. :wink:

hhmmm could work but its not just a clean ding, they are both rough with heaps a sharp folds etc..

I would suggest a slide hammer looking at those.
Give it a go, what have you got loose?

rokhounds right mate,slide hammer and a bit of elbow grease and you should definatly get the bulk of that out,then the more time and patience you got the better you can clean up the small bits
1990 surf 350 chevy jacked up and currently under construction again

sweet guys will give it a whirl, should actually be a little easier too since im cutting a couple inches off the bottom
