50mm bodylift on 80 series
thinking of doing a bodylift on my 80 series. wanting to know where to get blocks from and what other mods would have to be done eg lifting radiator, hi lo ratio stick and auto shifter. do you keep factory bushes in and what needs to be done to front and rear bumpers to re attach as they are fitted to chassis, any advice would be great.

do a search on body lifts
do's and don'ts
reasons for and against
you'll find a million reasons why
and a million reasons why not
then you need to decide if its what you want/need or not

Re: 50mm bodylift on 80 series
Personally I wouldn't bodylift my 80, the body is just too big to risk it wallowing around.
Plus the effort of moving radiators/levers is too much compared to putting in bumpstop spacers to stop guard rub.
There's still plenty of people who have done it with no problems but I would much rather lift it and improve suspension.

Would love to see some pics of the process?
I reckon body lifts are a good simple solution. Lifting suspension does not necessarily mean improving it.
Cheers
