1kz manual gbox. kzn130 - kzj78

as title would a gearbox and transfer from a kzn130 surf with 4x4 push button on gearlever be the same as my buggered gearbox in my kzj78? mine is dash push button for 4x4..

Surf gear box is a R151F
LR110 ..... LJ50 project :roll:

The manual boxes will be the same r151 series but the transfer case on the 78 Prado is the larger one with the off-set rear output instead of the Surf's center output for the rear shaft eh :D

Are the transfers hard to swap from box to box?

you have to split the transfer and pull it apart on the kzj78 to get it off the gearbox. not that hard to do just a pain and a bit of time to do it. would pay to do overhaul while it's apart as doing it in the truck is worse.
