I dont know the truck but looks like a good buy.
Toyota Landcruiser FJ40, front and rear lockers, 35" simex.
Toyota FJ45 build in progress.
Tires are like boobs, they always look big until you have played with them for a while, then you just want a bigger set.

I don't know much about it apart from seeing it on a few club trips and it seems like a very capable truck with the turbo diesel and coils all round etc, Ill find out more about it then post the info up.!!

Funny, its obviously the same guys looking at the same trucks on Trademe all the time

I had asked a few questions on this auction previously...

From memory (and it was a while ago) Dont think he had changed diff ratios (or gearbox/tranny ratios). The engine would turn the 35s but I imagine would be sluggish.

Seams like he's reduced to a much better price range.

With the turbo on it shouldnt have much trouble turning the 35"s, theyre only 10.5" wide  On the road my gutless 13bt powered 70 ran quite well with the BFG 35"s on the back, compared to the 30s that it normally has on it

I did a trip recently with Isaac in Gordon Kerr forest and that truck went really well, did all the hard stuff with no probs, engine a little smoky at times but a great truck and hes a nice guy.

   I was just behind this truck in the McDonalds drive thru. Looks wicked!! Yea it was a little smokey but im yet to find a diesel that isnt lol. It hasnt got a soft top anymore. It looked like a bit of a custom jobby hard top. Was keeping the rain off him anyways. I think it got put on its roof down at ashurst a while back so maybe thats why there isnt a hard top in the trademe pics. Could be wrong though. Dont know how legal it is with those mongrel tyres on them. Nothng a bit of bunnings flares wont fix. Great truck imo

edit to fix spelling
