Cost of new compressor wheel. $220
Called on a friend and had threaded end of turbo shaft straightened to within microns, if any . But adviced by turbo guys there is risk of any shaft been straigtened snapping on you, so will not be using.
Cost of tubine and shaft $750
Plus the turbine housing not in good shape. So repair about 2k, new Scwitzer s2 about $2700. So lesson learnt, makes a new kit seem cheap aye. Shite happens.
So sitting tight weighing up options , staying with original turbo easy for fitting to existing kit, not often for sale . Or have option on Garret turbo set up with slightly more mid range boost, good for towing.
T3 flange the same, will have to make dump pipe with flange type versus existing sliding spigot on schwitzer/cast dump pipe set up . The garret can be made 3" where as the former 21/2". So a bit of searching to do.
