3Y Economy

What sort of milage could I expect from a 3y-e in a Ln61 surf running 33's does just under 3000rpm cruising @ 100km according to the owner

Agreed there Rok, I had an 88 Surf with a 3Y and hated it. Slow and terrible on fuel and that was on stock size tyres. I recall somewhere around 7/8ks per litre ish, bit worse round town. Mine was an auto though which probably didn't help.

Yep I agree, my surf with a carbed 3Y was worse on gas than the 3.0l twin cam six thats in it now. I get 450kms out of a tank now, used to get 350 at best with the 3Y, and it was gutless as all hell... quite a different beastie with a Supra in it 8)
