hilux repower wanted

Post by J_Dub »

Im looking for a repower now for my beam axle lux.
Will consider any respectable toyota donk with a bit of balls or a conversion setup..
1kz 3rz turbo 3l old school 8 comy v6.
Im not gona pay top dollar, somebody out there may be doing a repower and getting rid of their trusty toyota engine and wants a quick sale.
Have a few options but doesnt hurt asking around aswell

most conversions you have sort out a bellhousing, clutch, engine mounts, exhaust, radiator, ECU/wiring, certification etc etc etc.... if you have to fork out for all that shit you might as well go the biggest bang for buck engine you can fit in there or you'll always regret not going a bit bigger or a few cylinders more 8) 8)

dude, it's pretty hard to beat the ole commonwhore V6. Yes it may be injected, but is simple to wire and they are very robust off road. You would be well advised to get more oil in the sump as they are still a car engine and dry bearing syndrome is an issue.

make a new deep sump to rear of engine, and put pick up at the back and no worries,
