Didn't think they would last much longer
Manual hubs are the way to go, no locking and unlocking going from fwd to rev, and vise versa.
Good luck with the search
I keep looking for the loose nut behind the wheel, but I can't find it!!

Got a set for sale off my dead 1991 Escudo. Was going to trade me them for $200ish. They are A.V.M. Brand. About 18 mounts old. And iv lubed them from time to time like you sposed to. Had a set of ASIAN manual hubs as well but they dint run as good as these.

You could weld up your auto hubs. I did this until my first set of manual hubs arrived. If they are stuffed anyway a bit of welding will ensure they will never unlock.

Cheers MIKE.

Might be keen on those manual ones. How low would you be willing to go on the price?

Also how would I go about welding the auto hubs?

cheers

The auto hub has a outer cap, which un screws from the body. This reveals the cones that engage when in 4wd. With this cover off you can see the cone popping or clicking especially when going from forward to reverse. (Need a mate to drive while you look). That’s the bad noise you were talking about. When the cones have engaged shove some weld so to join them together around the outer edge between the inside and outside cone. Tack first then, I used 3 short runs of mig weld. Make sure the welder earth is real close to your weld, like hold the earth clamp on to the cones or via a piece of steel. Or you’ll fuse the wrong bits together. I did this to mine and every thing was good. Mine were coming out when reversing and stuff.

$190 including postage for my manual hubs.

Cheers MIKE.
