Re: LJ70 rotors and sw20 calipers wanted
I'm looking for some mr2 calipers as well (not so easy to get huh).
I bought a couple of new prado rotors mid last year (2010) - cost around $40 something each, so pretty affordable.

Why are you guys just looking for mr2 calipers? there's heaps of other calipers available that do the same thing!

Toyota Landcruiser FJ40, front and rear lockers, 35" simex.
Toyota FJ45 build in progress.
Tires are like boobs, they always look big until you have played with them for a while, then you just want a bigger set.

Subaru and Mitzy Galant to name just 2
Ugly is a state of mind..... and the state of my truck!

I've looked at all the others, and I think the MR2 are the best of the bunch - i.e. fit the standard (vented) prado rotors, and have bigger pads and piston than most others.

yea what he said.
and im going by what snr4x4 say to use, as ive got there mount brackets, and what others have used.
ive read the others dont have 100% face coverage on the pad
Re: LJ70 rotors and sw20 calipers wanted
90-91 v6 maxima caliper and soild hilux discs. 100% pad contact
10mm flat plate for bracket. Minor mod to lever on caliper to use factory hilux hand brake cable.
worst bit is taking about 5mm off the axle flange so disc fits over top.

Toy - Zuk chassis tub, hilux 4.88 axles and transfer, Nissan CA18DE motor and auto trans, sc12 supercharger, 32 10'5 simex, twin motor 8274 custom freespool. Well the parts are all there in various corners of the shed

You can set up subi, maxima calipers to get 100% pad coverage on the disc, the mounts are just 10mm plate.
The other makes of calipers work just as good as the mr2 ones, and after all they are on the back so dont do huge braking like front ones.
