hi all.
mate of mine has a 1990 double cab hilux with 2litre petrol engine with solid axle front and the rear diff has had some issues and now needs replacing.
Does anyone have a diff head (or pinion?) spare in the correct ratio (info given above as im not sure what ratio it is)
Need help fairly urgently.

Thanks. I know his current diff is an LSD unit. will his LSD center fit into yours?
Can someone tell me if 4.1:1 is the correct ratio for his vehicle? or can they tell me how I can easily find out the ratios of his vehicle (get him to give me a code or something)

Axle code on the firewall will tell you, as long as its not already been replaced with another ratio in the past.

the diff head has to come out anyway so you might as well pull it out and find out what ratio it is rather than guessing what it is.... and theres no point looking for a replacement untill you know what ratio your looking for?
