how does the full time 4wd system work on these??
looking at buying one, been trying to find an l300 4wd petrol but rare as, so a hiace 4wd is the 2nd option.
it will be a work/towing vehicle with only going down the beach and a bit of light offroad work for work only ie: reserves, clay roads with work etc...
do these have a selector to lock in the 4wd or are they simply full time? this one im looking at in particular the owner said theres no selctor but im sure ive seen a 4wd selector on some of these before????????
and to make these more comfy and reliable onroad would you fit manual hubs to be able to keep the front axle open????

Re: hiace 4wd info
the older ones, like mine had a normal manual gearbox, 2 speed transfer case with selectable 4wd. late ones had full time 4wd,with on lock in centre diff, just like a 4wd car.
