Shaft from trans to diff head Important section is the flange to the diff and universal joint (not cv, thanks for the correction wopass!) that end. The rest will be cut off and discarded!

go to your local wrecker and get a rear shaft off a surf (normaly about 30 bucks), they are a nice long one piece shaft that make it easy to shorten to the right length for your cruiser, then just re drill the pinion flange holes to suit, smae flange spigot so easy as job. they have a longer slip on them and the UJ's have a greater drivin angle.

Thats not a bad idea, il go check the wreckers for a surf shaft, $30 is def the right money! and im sure it wont be the last shaft to suffer the same fate!

all goods, im running surf shafts on my Fawdy and they are fine, if you cant find any over there sing out i may know of one.
did your one spin up and bust? i got mine upsized in tube at the truck shop, cost a hundy for a full upsize heavy wall truck tube and ballance each shaft.

holy shit that musta been rooted for ages to do that! slowly chewing its way out! hahhha, and man thats short!! you have an auto trans in that beast? fark thats short!!...
surf shaft will be spot on, prune the tube to length, weld the yolk back on and re drill the pinion flanages and your away!

That is possible, cant say i remember looking at it recently! and yep seriously short a! At least i shouldnt be able to bend it at that length!
Toyota auto trans yes, not sure if im a fan of the auto yet but its growing on me...
Will give the surf shaft a go, just gota get off work for a bit to make it down there!
