Holden V6 or V8 alternator wtd

Need one ASAP if anyone has one laying around.
Also pretty sure they are the same (V6-V8) except for the pulley, can someone confirm??

The hinge bolt is directly across from the adjuster bolt.

Get a GM one or an original one not a cheap copy Tim.
All I can say is. I went through heaps of the cheap copied ones before going back to the original GM one. No end of problems mate. I lost $1600 bucks worth of Optima batteries in the process not to mention
LOTS of hassles along the way.

lookig at my auto electrical program (yes i dabble in this as well!) the V6 and V8 are similar looking, similar outputs but different mounting holes/pulleys etc etc. you may be able to fit a V6 one but for the price difference get a V8 one and save the hassel!.. (V6 RRP is $410: V8 RRP is $465 for Bosch units) your local CHCH auto sprkies should be able to get one today for you the dist center in CHCH has them in stock part number 69BXH1231 (also assuming its a VN V8 engine??)
