Torque arm - hilux, advice please...

hi, can any one let me know what the torque arm does? all it seems todo is keep causing my drivers spring to flatten and sag on drivers side... Do i even need to run the arm or could i remove it. i have got an adjustable one, but no clue how to adjust correctly. Can any one help? Thanks..

Its there to stop torque steer under braking. When you hit the brakes hard the front diff trys to rotate which pushes on the drag link. This causes the steering to dive to one side suddenly ( cant remember which side).
I wouldnt remove it unless you go to X over steering.
Adustable torque arms are for lifted springs and you set the length when the truck is sitting at the static height :wink:
