WANTED: G16A 16V SOHC HEAD

Anyone got a usable spare one of these? Just had mine pressure tested and it's fekking cracked. Only done a couple of 100 ks on this truck and it's going from bad to worse

Don't want to have to buy a new one if it's avoidable having said that don't want to buy a secondhand one then get it pressure tested to find it's no good, not sure what to do.

Have sent off for some prices of new ones anyway.

There's one at Pickapart epuni - I was there today, but won't be back for a while. Their stocklist says it's a 1800 but I'm pretty sure it's a 1600 (grabbed the front diffhead for the 5.13 R&P) - definitely 16V, some of the EFI gubbins already gone. I hear what you're saying about 2nd hand, but at $70...

Is that $70 for real or a typo? I've been quoted from $760-1020 for a head (obviously at that price it's NOT cracked/bent!)

I've been speaking to someone from my local club who knows a lot about these vehicles and he reckons it's best just to pull the rest of the engine and stick a replacement in. Have to say I'm agreeing with him at this point, could then part out the old engine to make some money back.

That is cheap... bugger it's so far away though, only half reliable transport I've got now is my motorbike, bit awkward carrying a head on that! Need to find something fairly local. Got a few feelers out but at least that gives me an idea of how cheap they can be found, cheers for that.

Found one cheers, got a whole engine pretty cheap so just gonna chuck that in.
