Re: Wanted harnesses
If you want them for winch comps get ones with car style buckles.
As its a pain in the #$% for the navi to buckle up...

Re: Wanted harnesses
dosent look like you've been watching trademe Stoli coz you can usually pick them up for $50 or less a piece if you keep your eyes open
I dunno what sort of seats you've got in that zook but I found those lever latch belts like the ones in that trademe link a pain in the arse if you havent got race seats with slots for the lap belts to come up through, I had a set in my cruiser with standard drivers seat and passenger 1 1/2 bench seat configuration (leather
) and I got sick of always searching around under the seats to find the two lap belts, hang on to the two shoulder straps and hold everything together while I breath in and try to couple the 4 ends up so I got a set that has the shoulder straps joined to the lap belts and a std seatbelt type push in coupling and now getting in and out of the harness has never been easier or faster, I've been told you have to watch the push in couplings getting full of mud and not working properly but I've had tons of mud in the truck so far and no problems with it not coupling properly or popping out

edit* Calvin beat me to it

Re: Wanted harnesses
just stick "Sabelt" into your TM search stoli and you'll find the right type, there was one that went for 50 bucks the other day http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =415802170
I do much the same, I use the seat belts for normal mucking around and the harness for anything more serious so I'll stay pinned safely in the seat and not bouncing around the roll cage if something goes wrong like it did last month
have a close look at the type before you buy coz there are short ones and long ones and bolt mounting and eyebolt mounting so make sure what you buy will fit and suit, I think I've got 1 1/2 spare ones in stock here but I'm keeping them for spare parts

Re: Wanted harnesses
one step ahead of you there
yeah ill get some long ones rather to long then to short, so its a good idea to keep both of them depending on the style of driving im doing thanks for all your help

Re: Wanted harnesses
if you get harnesses with standard fixing plates they can bolt onto the same mounts as the seatbelts or if they are clip in ones you can replace the seatbelt mounting bolts with eye bolts and clip into them, get Taz to stick a harness bar behind the seats when he makes your rollbar or cage and the shoulder straps can mount off that
I dont think your allowed anything else attached to the seatbelt mounts in a street legal vehicle but thats not going to apply to your wreck

You'll have to put some roll protection in it now coz there wont be any structural ingegrity left in the A and B pillars after you get everything beaten back into shape and theres nothing over the rear seat passengers heads to give them any protection if it goes the wrong way up again
