Photo's of what you got to go in and working with would help...
The std 70 Prado has an adjustable platform.
This bolts to the floor and then the seat bolts to it...
So if you remove this platform your new seat will sit low etc etc..
But a picture says a thousand words...

Sorry mate should of thought of that before posting the comment.

If you look at the second pic thats of the base of the seat. its actually of a genuine Prado part but there off the Limited model where mine is'nt. Im having trouble because the seats that are in it at the moment sit on top of the raised steel that is attached to the ground of my truck as you can see in the first picture.

I thought it would be as easy as agle grinding those raised parts out and putting the limited modal base in and away we go , but the base doesn't site right

If u want any other pictures let me know

Thanks alot

SWB and LWB prado seats are different heights at the bases, you may be able to get away with changing the base?

Whereabouts in NZ are ya
<- put your location in your profile
70 series prado (KZJ78) and 90 Series Prado (KZJ95)

I have a KZJ78 with the fancy platform.
It just bolts to the floor...
I can see targets for pedestals like yours. (I have no carpets)
Good old Toyota may have put in the captured nuts in the floor and are covered with a black disc.
They could be hidden under those brackets...
Climb under the truck and see if there are some nuts welded to the floor pan.
Highly likely you could remove the brackets and drill off new holes.
I can take photos of my floor pan top and underside..
Might try and get off a few before it gets dark tonight...
otherwise wont happen until the later in the week...
Off out tomorrow...And its dinner time now...

Ok dinners in oven and had time to pop out and grab some photo's
This is the passenger seat...
First a view from the side...

Now one from the back

Front mount by trans tunnel.

Under the truck looking at the left frame and bolts.

Lastly under the truck looking at the right hand frame and bolts.
You can see the tube cross member and bit of the transfercase to get a referance. (But I have some extra bits for my winch)
Image

Looks like the rear left one is the same, good reference for locating in the fancy frame.
Hope that helps

Ok if I have got this right. Its 30mm from the center of the bolt to the start of the ramp of the fwd lip.

As said, I can see locator points on my pan for those brackets...
I reckon you could remove two of them,( forward left and rear right) use the rear left which is thru the floor for the spring base unit as a locator and back drill off the other three...
I have ringed the one which is the same for both mine and yours.

Always happy to help where I can.....anyone...

Its taken me a good 3 hours but have the passengers one in. thanks to your pics it was alot easier than i first thought.

I used the template like u said and it all matched up accordingly to the holes on the base of the seat.

Thanks very much. you've saved me alot of time and money
