ok, I aint a mechanically minded person

but do ya reckon it would be advisable for me to attempt a rear pinion bearing install in my 80

or is it a bit more specialised

and wheres cheapest place to find said bearing

If you are not mechanically minded.....Give it a miss....
Need some tools / bearing press.... Dial gauge...
Not sure who in Welly does them....

yep as Calvin says it'll be a Phil job to set up all the preloads and backlash and shit, still got my one sitting here waiting to take over to him to swap out the C&P one night.

last pinion seal I got came from mana bearings he had them in stock and was pretty cheap, dunno what his bearing prices are like, carrier bearing dont come cheap so pinion bearings probably arent much better?

I'd recommend you get a solid pinion spacer fitted at the same time .
LR110 ..... LJ50 project :roll:

x3 it cost new crown wheel and pinion, and all the bearings on the rebuild when the crush sleave moves
