I know a guy that had one on his 3l +t Lux, He done something with an XR200 throttle body to get the back pressure on deceleration

the 1kz could do with one due to the butterfly, but imho getting rid of the butterfly is a cheaper and better option.

no need for a butterfly to get a bov to work. just use the vacuum system and control it electrical with switches on the clutch and throttle. requires a softer spring in the bov. the hardest part is fitting it.
theres a few write ups on the surf forum about it.

There is an electronic BOV for diesels that operates on the TPS (turbosmart I think). I looked at one for shits and gigles a while ago. Decided that for the outlay of $$$ it was going to be a novelty and not really useful in My prado.

They can be useful to prevent compressor surge if running high boost levels as well as decrease spool time between gear shifts.

Not all BOV have to go PSSSH you can vent them back into the air box where they are almost silent... but we all know ya want the PSSSH
