Does anyone know if other model hilux front leaf springs can be used in an RN46 hilux.
My RN46 has sagged front springs and its fouling on the steering. Just wondering if I can widen my search for replacement springs
leaf spring compatability between hilux models?
Re: leaf spring compatability between hilux models?
as far as i was aware, and i'm sure someone else can confirm, '79 thru to about '96 are all the same, at least on most aftermarket sites. Factory ones i think there is a few different spring rates for different engine weights but otherwise the same. Mine arent the right ones for the truck but they fit, just too stiff with all the leaves in them, and sag if i take a leaf out lol

if you get a replacement thats to hard a ride you can split the leaf packs and swap an old leaf from your old saggy pack with one of the new hard ones etc. If your willing to spend enough time playing with it you should be able to get a good ride.
Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level then beat you with experiance!
