60 series front axle URGENT

Post by Big »

Hi guys.. Im needing a 60 series front axle complete from pitman arm down..
This is for one of our fellow club memebers who went to the McCauley Valley and on the return he has snapped off the Knuckle. Currently they are home bound but Im just putting it out there if someone has one lying around..
We are assuming the worst as you can imagine the damage done.. brakes, tierods etc etc.. It might not be that bad but there maybe be a trip in next weekend to recover it and best way I can think of is driving it out repaired.
Ill post more once I know more.. Any hlpe would be greatly appreciated..
Anywhere from southland to chch across .
Cheers K

so long as the axle housing is ok, armed with a few parts it shouldnt be hard to make temp repairs to drive it out, pigfmr in geraldine was trying to get rid of some 60 series diffs and bits a few weeks ago

ok bit of an update on this.. aparently the knuckle weld has failed due to a rotation for the lift etc that was involved.. soo.. mounts are aparently not standard, so there goes the just swap the front out for a new one.. But good news as its on an island almost next to the entrance of McCauley.. so we think it'll just be a drag onto the road and throw it on a trailor the drag it home.. So more later when I know more.. pics will be coming when I get them
