Modifying stock panhard rods into adjustables

Post by Andrew1706 »

Hey gang, long time no talk...

So I've manager to land a job back on a cnc lathe and naturally I'm thinking of all the shit I can make for myself

Who has had experience with making their own adjustable panhard rods? Slee Offroad do a kit but I can make my own for the cost of not a lot, where would I stand legally with welding the adjusting parts in?

I get confused whenever I read LVVTA stuff so I was wondering if any one has done it before?

Cheers,
Andrew

Search the LVVTA website for 'tech bulletin 5'. This is the test that a welder must pass to have their work certified. Anyone can sit this test and as long as the certifier is happy then you are legal to weld structural items to LVVTA rules.

Doesn't need to be a certified welder but if you don't know the certifier they're gonna be hard on you.
