Post by The WEHI »

just seeing what my truck would be worth in parts because well its toast

So its an ln61 with ruf solid axle
manual hubs
lsd rear guessing its the wider of hilux/surf ones
gear driven transfer
35" mudking mt's
rego's on hold no cert
2' body lift
bodys not tidy but minimal rust
2l motors toast might be rebuild material ill strip it and see if i part the truck
near on 3/4 tank of diesel lol.

yeah i watch oil stream down the side of the motor when its idling snapped the front drive-shaft,snapped the exhaust lost the brakes when coming up to a red light and its been built badly originally so either call it quits on this truck and get a kzn130/185 or start from scratch replacing almost everything. so if turns out i can recoup some coin from it ill start with another truck.

I would suggest you try sell complete unless you want a half wrecked truck sitting around for 12-18months, The good bits will sell quickly but the rest will sit around for ages. Youll get similar money selling complete as you would in parts.
Toyota Landcruiser FJ40, front and rear lockers, 35" simex.
Toyota FJ45 build in progress.
Tires are like boobs, they always look big until you have played with them for a while, then you just want a bigger set.

Good thing I didnt buy it I was seriously thinking about it The wifie would've killed me, It looked cool but was a few rangi things I noticed. Try'n hock it off and then buy a factory beam axle surf theres a couple on trademe at the mo. or sell me some cheap parts me so I can fix mine.
Thanks Stu
